On April 23, 1995, UNESCO declared World Book Day and Copyright Day in Paris. The purpose of the event was to promote educational, cultural awareness of the public, especially of the young people as book is the most reliable source for dissemination and preservation of knowledge. The date of the event was not chosen randomly as on that day, in 1616 died Miguel de Cervantes, William Shakespeare, Inca Garcilaso de la Vega, etc.
